Marsborne's strategy of farming Brazilian tournaments has paid off, with Ian "motm" Hardy telling Dust2 Brasil, "We need to play against Brazilian teams because we are ranked in the same Americas ranking in VRS." The North American squad kicked off their tour at BetBoom RUSH B! Summit Season 2, where they placed 5th-6th. In their most recent event, Marsborne claimed lucrative victories over VRS rivals Red Canids, BESTIA, and Imperial.
While Mischief states 9z, MIBR, Sharks, and Legacy are almost guaranteed to qualify for Cologne, Marsborne still have an opportunity to oust BESTIA and Imperial with a strong performance in Rio de Janeiro.
