The information was discovered in a casting announcement.
MP1st journalists shared details of the new Wolfenstein, which they discovered in a casting announcement.
It is reported to be codenamed Valkyrie. Specialists previously involved in creating the studio's games have been brought in to work on it: acting director Tom Keegan, who recently completed work on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as casting director Emily Schweber, who worked on previous installments of Wolfenstein.
The announcement mentions a new character — a girl named Sofia. It is possible that the name may be a reference to Zofia Blaskowicz, the mother of William "B.J." Blaskowicz. However, this is a completely new character: an orphan between the ages of 8 and 11, who, along with her dog named Ralph, meets B.J. and goes on a journey with him.
The character description emphasizes that Sofia is initially wary and traumatized by the war, but gradually opens up under the care of the resistance.
Judging by the emphasis on her role, the developers may be betting on a more emotional dynamic between the characters, where Blaskowicz will act as a protector — as in the first The Last of Us. Given that B.J. is preparing to become a father in the current timeline, such a development seems like a logical step for the evolution of the character.
