Local gamer Andrew Chetty said he is eager for the year ahead.

“My bank account probably won’t keep up with all the good games coming out this year. I’m especially
excited for Grand Theft Auto. I spent hours playing the previous one, and now, 14 years later, we’re finally getting a sequel. I just hope it lives up to the hype,” he said.

Another gamer, Brandon Reddy, said he has already pre-ordered several titles.

“Forza looks incredible. A racing game set in Japan is something fans have wanted for years, and the visuals look amazing. I pre-ordered it even though it’s still a few months away,” he said.

Online gaming communities are already debating potential Game of the Year contenders, with many
pointing to upcoming survival-horror titles and long-awaited sequels.
