Dead or Alive has been quiet for quite a few years now, but that's no longer the case.
Koei Tecmo made a surprise appearance during today's State of Play event where they announced Dead or Alive 6: Last Round as well as a brand new Dead or Alive project.
DoA Producer Yosuke Hayashi introduced the new games with Last Round serving as an updated version of Dead or Alive 6, which originally released back in 2019.
This enhanced title is said to feature all of the main cast plus DLC characters of Dead or Alive 6, but that's not all.
Koei Tecmo is also adding new costumes, an improved photo mode and enhancements for the stronger consoles.
On top of that, the team will be adding brand new characters and more outfits as well through future updates.
They are releasing both a paid and free Core Fighters version of Last Round at the same time.
Dead or Alive 6: Last Round is set to launch on June 25, 2026 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
What's going to be probably more exciting for fans is Koei Tecmo putting together something else for Dead or Alive's 30th anniversary.
Koei Tecmo revealed that a brand new Dead or Alive title is now in development for the PS5 though no title or release window was included.
There's not much shown in the teaser trailer besides Kasumi with a new design fighting in a cinematic against Ryu Hayabusa for a few seconds.
We'll have to wait to see more of what the future of Dead or Alive holds, but the new title is probably still quite a ways out.
You can check out both of the new Dead or Alive trailers below as well as some screenshots of the new project.
